Lensmate Adapter – My Street Setup!

Some Images of the setup (yes, I purposely tape over my camera logos!)

Well, now that my street setup is complete, I thought I would share it with you.
Canon G11
Helios Viewfinder
Lensmate Adapters Part A + B
Hoya HMC UV 72mm Filter (no vignetting at any focal lenght)
Optech GOTCHA Wrist Strap
Lowepro Passport Sling Shoulder Bag

I was fedup of carrying around my Canon 5D and 35mm 1.4L in a shoulder bag for doing some street photography. I wanted something a bit more discreet and even though Section 44 law in the UK has been scrapped, uneducated security guards and PCO’s and even the police themselves still hassle photographers on the street. So after a bit of research I went with the Canon G11 and the other bits listed above.

Lensmate: Well what can I say, the adapters are quality machined parts, no plastic here! and the staff, Liz and her team, are just incredible, delivery within 4 days from the USA (and yesterday was a public holiday here in the UK), their support and professionalism is superb, I cannot recommend them enough.

The Lowepro Passport Sling Shoulder bag is ideal for my setup and is a very nice looking bag and has room for personal items etc and even my instant camera too! I added the Optech wrist strap adds that bit extra security to the G11 while hand carrying. Using the custom buttons on the G11 set up at 35mm focal length, I’m ready at the switch of a button.

Now to get and enjoy the toys :)
